Leading Organizational Change

Managing Organizational Transition (MOT)

Managing Organizational Transition (MOT) is designed to help managers successfully implement a reorganization, downsizing, culture shift, technological change, acquisition or merger, or other significant change.

Most changes take longer and cost more to implement than anyone foresaw. Many of the changes that are meant to strengthen the organization will actually weaken it, for they will leave its people resentful, demotivated and confused at a time when commitment and creativity are essential.

The Managing Organizational Transition Program is designed for managers from the same department or organization.  It will alert participants to the human side of implementing change and the need to minimize the effects of non-stop change on an organization and its people through the effective management of individual and group transitions.

Key Topics Covered

  • Assuring an adequate change management plan is in place.
  • Determining where people are in the transition process.
  • Developing strategies for helping people let go of the old way of doing things, and making clear endings.
  • Guiding people through the neutral zone, and utilizing that in-between state creatively.
  • Launching a new beginning in which people embrace the new ways of doing and being.

Flexible Delivery
The Managing Organizational Transition program can be adapted to meet large or small group training needs.  The MOT Program comes in 3 versions – 2 days, 1 day and ½ day.

Individual Transition in Organizations

Individual Transition in Organizations assists individual employees whose roles, careers, and lives are being impacted by change.

This training program has been designed to help not only to help individuals manage the transitions that are created by the changes they are facing in their organizations but also to alert senior and middle managers and supervisors to the transitions that they themselves and people in their teams will be going through in response to organizational change and possible job changes either inside or outside the company.

It is intended to help people understand the three-stage process they are going through, and to develop action plans that will enable them to enhance their ability to successfully grow through these times of rapid and significant change.

Key Topics Covered

  • Handling the transitions caused by change with less disruption and distress in their lives and work.
  • Managing endings successfully.
  • Moving through the neutral zone, capitalizing on the creativity of that time.
  • Launching a successful new beginning.
  • Dealing more effectively with constant change.
  • Re-thinking work lives to make them less vulnerable to workplace changes.
